Rostr. Back to Rostr

Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 July 2026

Rostr is booking and payments for independent youth-sports coaches. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. We have tried to write it the way we would explain it out loud.

Rostr is a product of High5 Labs, a sole proprietorship based in North Carolina, United States. Rostr is available in the United States only.

What we collect

From coaches — name, mobile number, email address, sport, and the city and state you work in. If you take payments through Rostr, our payments provider also collects the details it needs to pay you.

From parents booking a session — name, mobile number, and the details of the booking itself: which coach, which session, when, and what was paid.

Automatically — ordinary web server records such as approximate location by region, browser type, and which pages were requested. We use these to keep the service working, not to build a profile of you.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Text messages

Rostr runs on text messages, so this section matters more than most.

You give consent by entering your mobile number — on a coach's booking page when you book a session, or on our signup form if you are a coach. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing anything.

Message frequency varies with how often you book or coach. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell your information, and we never will. Specifically: mobile numbers and text-message consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. No exceptions, no fine print underneath this sentence.

Who we share information with

Only the companies that make Rostr work, and only what they need:

We also share what the law requires us to share, and nothing beyond that. If Rostr is ever sold or transferred, information moves with it, and we will say so here before that happens.

When a parent books with a coach, that coach sees the booking: name, mobile number, and what was booked. That is the point of the product.

How long we keep it

Account and booking records are kept while the account is active, and afterward for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and dispute records. Ask us to delete your information and we will, except for records we are required to keep.

Children

Sessions are often for children, but Rostr accounts belong to adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 13. A parent or guardian books, pays, and receives the messages.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so plainly rather than hoping you do not notice.
